Scamper

The roaches seem to be getting smaller, or maybe it's just the wrong part of the season for them. It's been months since I've seen the ones so big that I can hear them fall onto the ground in a dry clatter of exoskeleton; the ones that scatter when I turn on the lights almost seem like little specks of dust blown out of the way from the disturbance to the air made from opening a door.
